Communication Assistance BCH will take every reasonable step to help any patient with communication limitations effectively participate in and benefit from hospital services. This includes patients with no or limited English proficiency and patients with hearing-related conditions. Patients who need such assistance should ask their nurse or care provider. Courtesy Services Throughout the hospital you will find friendly staff with name tags indicating Courtesy Services. They will be happy to guide you and answer your questions. Patients and visitors can use a computer in the first-floor ICU waiting room and one in a meeting room on the 4 North nursing unit. Foothills Hospital
There are four computers on the 2 Northwest nursing unit. Free wi-fi is offered at both locations. Entertainment An assortment of movies and music are available upon request. Ask your nurse for more information. BCH volunteers periodically come by to offer complimentary magazines, books, coffee and tea for patients and visitors. Flowers Flower arrangements are available in the gift shops at Boulder Community and Foothill Hospitals. Gift Shops There are gift shops at Boulder Community and Foothills Hospitals. Each shop sells a variety of gift items, small flower bouquets, cards, magazines and toiletries. VISA and MasterCard are accepted. Cell phone reception is excellent in most areas and most patient rooms have telephones with free local calling. Visiting Hours General visiting hours are 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. every day. The only exception is the Intensive Care Unit which is closed to visitors every day from 7 - 8 a.m. and 7 - 8 p.m. so our nurses can meet to coordinate care for our patients.
