Sean MadsenSean 1

Biomechanist

Sean has been fitting bikes for over ten years.  He has worked with an exceedingly broad array of cyclists, including world champions, local amateurs, and recreational riders.  For all cyclists, Sean helps improve comfort, power, speed, endurance, and bike handling abilities.  He is capable of dialing in a rider's position on any bike, and has given special attention to time trial, triathlon, and mountain bike positions.  He has collaborated with various aerodynamic experts, where he has observed how changes in a rider's position affect their aerodynamic profile and their sustainable power output.  His knowledge of biomechanics, coupled with the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine's one of a kind fitting tools, will let you pedal like you have never pedaled before.

Are you interested in a new bike?  Come and see him first!  Sean has the ability to find your optimal cycling position, whatever the discipline.  Then he can see if your dream bike will get you there.  He also can take this information and draft up the ideal geometry for a custom bike to be made.  He has worked with dozens of custom frame builders to get your bike handcrafted to fit you perfectly.

He has a passion for riding anything with 2 wheels.  He’s raced road, time trial, track, cyclocross, XC mountain, endurance mountain, dirt jumping, 4X, BMX and observed trials. He rides seven days a week, and loves to commute to work, too!
