 Dr. Poole was born into a family of farmers and doctors in Scotland and graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School. She pursued her love of travel to an internship in Vancouver, Canada and a residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC) in Denver. She began practicing internal medicine initially as a faculty member at UCHSC and later in private practice.
Dr. Poole believes that the doctor-patient relationship is a partnership and aims to provide the best information available for decision-making in each individual situation. As a cellist and a runner, she has developed an interest in overuse injuries in musicians and athletes. Other medical interests include promoting healthy lifestyles and taking care of the elderly.
