Francisco Javier Barajas, MD, is a board-certified internist who joined Internal Medicine Associates at Buffalo Ridge in March 2022. He received his medical degree from Anahuac University, Mexico City, Mexico, and then completed his residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Englewood, NJ, where he was a chief internal medical resident. Dr. Barajas is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Prior to working for Boulder Community Health, Dr. Barajas practiced internal medicine in San Antonio, TX, for six years. He was also the medical director for New Life Hospice in San Antonio, TX. Before that, Dr. Barajas was chief of primary care at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, OK, and an internal medicine adjunct professor at Oklahoma State University and University of the Incarnate Word school of medicine.
Dr. Barajas is fluent in both English and Spanish. He provides valuable expertise in liver and gastrointestinal diseases, preventive medicine, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, musculoskeletal disease and joint injections.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, child and goldendoodle, exercising at the gym, hiking and drumming.

I will nor recommend the doctor to anyone. Poor attitude and empathy. I know how long is my time provided for each patient. He only cares for his time. Poor in listening. Bad attitude. No manner for being a doctor

I do not make a practice of recommending service providers to others, but if specifically asked i would recommend Dr. Barajas.
