Dr. Pittenger received her medical degree from Michigan State University in 1985. Her undergraduate degree is a B.A. from Ohio's Denison University. She also completed three years of pre-med work at Eastern Michigan University. She has been practicing family medicine locally since 1990. Dr. Pittenger is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians. She has staff privileges at both Boulder Community Hospital and Avista Hospital. Dr. Pittenger and her husband, Mark, have a daughter, a son, a cat and a dog.
